Dr. April Kapu: Advocating globally for Nurse Practitioners and patient's access to care!
The past President of American Association of Nurse Practitioners and now Dean for Strategic & Global Affairs for Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. She continues to be the voice and leadership for over 400k NPs.
She serves on multiple editorial boards, has hundreds of presentations and publications that advocate for evidence-based practices and NP led care.
We discussed her leadership, her academic role, health policy, the White House visit, her advocacy for high quality, cost- effective, access to care and quality improvement for healthcare systems and processes for operational efficiency.
We also touched on the future of NP autonomous practice and their relationship with medicine.
